*This is part 6 of the Tea Party Series. Take a look at planning a vintage tea, tea party food and drinks, decorating a tea party, the tissue paper hat tutorial, and tea party drink recipes for more tea party fun!*
On party day, I pretty much had everything taken care of. I had all of the food made in advance, and the house was clean. This is what we did on party day:
- Mixed up spa water and strawberry lemonade
- Set the table
- Laid out food
- Put on something pretty
- Dressed the girls
- Greeted guests
- Made tissue paper hats
- Served tea
- Ate delicious snacks
- Had fun
And that was pretty much it. The party lasted about two hours, and the girls had a great time. I really enjoyed it, too. I loved that I didn’t have to do a whole lot on the day of the party. I was even able to sleep in a little (Bo let me, surprisingly enough. She hasn’t many days since.). It was a fun little party, and I will throw another one someday. Hopefully, more of the invited guests will be able to show up next time!
My only regret was that I didn’t get a picture of us together in our finery. I don’t think there is a picture of Bo at all. Oh well. Next time!
