Today, I’m sharing with you a mini unit study I created around animal nutrition. This unit study is all about how a cow’s digestive cycle works. In this unit study, you will learn all about the four chambers of a cow’s heart, why cows can eat grass, why humans can’t, and all of the basic parts that a cow uses to digest grass and the other foods it eats.
Animal Nutrition Cow Digestive System Unit Study
How to use this unit study:
Download the animal nutrition study printable and the worksheet. Read the study guide together then complete the worksheet.
Save these files to your computer then print them for each child who will be completing the study. After going over the information together, have each child fill out the worksheet. This animal nutrition unit study should take about an hour to complete. Use this study as a jumping off point to learn more about cows and other farm animals. Monkey is hugely into animal science and would spend months learning about various animals if we had time!

We found these videos helpful during our study:
Use these additional resources to learn more about a cow’s digestive system. The model is really cool! I love using tools meant for college students in our homeschool. We learn so much more that way!
